I know she’s in there for something she did but she’s still human. please help me get the help me get to address this issue. thank you
I’m so sorry to hear about what your daughter went through. No one should have to experience that, and you have every right to seek answers and accountability.
You may want to take the following steps:
File a Formal Complaint – Contact the prison’s medical unit, warden, and internal affairs department to report the incident. Request a written response regarding their actions.
Reach Out to Advocacy Organizations – Groups like The ACLU’s Prison Project, The National Prison Pregnancy Project, or The Prison Law Office may be able to provide guidance.
Contact an Attorney – A civil rights attorney or prisoners’ rights lawyer can help assess legal options regarding medical neglect.
State Prison Oversight – If she’s in a state facility, you can also file a complaint with the Department of Corrections’ Ombudsman or Inspector General.
Public Support & Awareness – Consider reaching out to local advocacy groups, media outlets, or your elected officials to bring attention to the issue.
