PFA Youth Support

Se

The PFA Youth Connection Club is more than a place to gather—it’s a community where youth ages 7–17 with a justice-impacted loved one can connect with peers who understand their experiences, discover their strengths, and build lasting friendships. Through creative activities, games, team-building, and youth-led experiences, participants develop confidence, communication skills, leadership abilities, and resilience while enjoying the freedom to simply be kids in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

At PFA, we believe every young person has unique strengths and the potential to lead. The Youth Connection Club encourages youth to share ideas, work together, make positive choices, and support one another while building the skills to become compassionate leaders at home, in school, and in their communities. Guided by caring mentors, participants gain a stronger sense of belonging, self-confidence, and purpose, leaving each meeting feeling connected, empowered, and inspired to make a positive difference.

How We Started

Our PFA Youth Group was founded in 2021 by five cousins: Ariana, Keaton, Carling, Nicholas, and Sarina. They experienced first hand having a family member in the prison system. So, the cousins connected with PFA to create a safe space dedicated strictly to children like themselves called the “Kid-to-Kid Chat” where other youths with incarcerated family members can connect and support each other.
